According to Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, Jorge Lorenzo will continue his progress in Ducati and chase the MotoGP championship in 2018 season.
After 9 years of Yamaha experience, the Spanish driver who passed Ducati and struggled to adapt to the new motorcycle, could not start the season very well.
We started to see that Ducati’s work and Lorenzo’s champion drive in the front group in the last races, along with the process of adapting.
Jerez and Aragon, who were in seventh place in the championship, were leading the race for 15 rounds before moving on to two Repsol Honda in Aragon.
According to Ezpeleta, Lorenzo needs more time to show his maximum potential, and he will be able to overcome it and chase the championship next year.
“I believe Lorenzo can fight for the championship next year.”
“Everyone in the Ducati camp is trying to make Lorenzo happy, and Lorenzo is developing and starting to take part in leadership in some races.”
“Of course it’s clear that Ducati and his tires need more time to understand, but Lorenzo is stepping forward now.”
